Nutrient Applicator Voucher Training and Recertification
Anyone who applies nutrients to 10 or more acres of agricultural land is required to have a nutrient applicator voucher. Vouchers expire after 3 years, with a 2-hour continuing education requirement for renewal. The Maryland Department of Agriculture and University of Maryland Extension work together to offer courses expressly for voucher renewal as well as for initial receipt of a nutrient applicator voucher. Contact the listed host office for more information and registration. |

Learn and Earn CEUs Online
University of Maryland and other institutions have been providing some excellent nutrient management Webinars. Even if you can’t attend “live,” you might be able to earn CEUS after the fact (“asynchronously”).
MDA’s Nutrient Management office has reviewed and approved some of these asynchronous programs for Maryland Nutrient Management continuing education credit. Some programs qualify only for applicator voucher credits; others award credit in all categories of NM certification.
Visit each of the host sites to learn about upcoming live Webinars. For those, you need only sign in exactly as instructed during the live program no quiz submission would be needed. Contact the MDA NM Program at 410-841-5959 to find out whether an upcoming live Webinar program would qualify for CEUs.
Not all asynchronous programs will be approved for Maryland NM CEUs--only those listed on this site will be approved. Credits for asynchronous Webinars are awarded once you correctly complete and submit the verification quiz MDA has created for each Webinar. MDA-approved asynchronous Webinars can be delisted at any time, and quizzes submitted after that will not be accepted for NM CEUs so be sure to follow through quickly. |

Educational Webcast Series
The eXtension Foundation's Livestock and Poultry Environment (LPE) Learning Center runs a series of Webcasts. Some of them qualify for Maryland Nutrient Management continuing education credits. For CEU-eligible program titles and dates, visit the University of Maryland Agricultural Nutrient Management Program site ( www.anmp.umd.edu and follow the "Upcoming Events" link). You must follow the instructions there in order to document that you have participated and earned CEUs for a program. |
