Teachers and administrators can help make the connection between the cafeteria and the classroom.   • Dollars and Sense: Demonstrates how food dollars are distributed through the food system.
  • Local Food Economy Game: Illustrates the factors that impact consumer decisions in choosing between local vs. global food and stores, organic vs. conventionally-produced produce, and convenience vs. quality.
  • Your Favorite Meal: Introduces the idea of a food system, using young people's favorite meals as a way to start thinking about where our food comes from and how it is produced.
  • Agriculture in the Classroom: The Agriculture in the Classroom National Resource Directory is an online searchable database that lists hundreds of educational resources designed to help educators locate high quality classroom materials and information to increase agricultural literacy among their Pre-K through 12th grade students.
  • Make a Rainbow on Your Plate: This lesson plan introduces students to the concept of eating a variety of fruits and vegetables for better health by incorporating fruits and vegetables of different colors into their diet.
