Johne's Disease Risk Assessment

A Johne's risk assessment and management plan is a comprehensive process to reduce or eliminate identified risks for the introduction and spread of Johne's disease and other fecal-oral and colostrum milk transmitted diseases.

To participate in the Voluntary Bovine Johne's Disease Control Program, producers must have a risk assessment on years 1, 2, 4, 6 and 10 of program participation, an annual management plan completed by a certified veterinarian and agree to the following guidelines.

More information can be found at the National Johne's Education Initiative website.
